With the compact SUN-M80G3-EU-Q0 micro inverter, manufacturer Deye delivers a small, state-of-the-art single-phase string inverter with a rated power of 800 watts and a maximum module input power of 2 x 500 watts. The device is housed in a robust die-cast aluminum housing and, thanks to its IP67 water protection rating, can also be installed outdoors. Combined with one or two solar modules, the device is perfectly suited as a balcony power station or mini-PV system.

A balcony power plant is a mini-PV system for the balcony that converts solar energy into electricity. The inverter is connected to one or two solar modules on one side and plugged directly into a standard household outlet using a Wieland or Schuko plug on the other. The self-generated electricity is then immediately available to the household and helps cover base loads, such as those from the refrigerator or standby appliances.

This state-of-the-art, next-generation inverter is equipped with two integrated MPP trackers. These are designed to adjust the load resistance to continuously optimize the performance of the photovoltaic system. The two MPP trackers offer the significant advantage of allowing individual control of one solar module or multiple solar modules connected in series as a separate "string." This allows the inverter to be used for more complex installations, such as those with shading problems or different roof orientations.

The MPPT efficiency of this device is the best possible 99%. By connecting several microinverters (even from different manufacturers), the solar system can be easily expanded later. The integrated WiFi module enables monitoring and control of power generation via the internet using a computer or a smartphone app. With the convenient DEYE app, power generation can be viewed and analyzed live and over time at any time. As an alternative to WiFi, the device also offers Powerline (PLC) and Zigbee connection options. The device operates extremely quietly and features natural convection cooling, meaning there are no fans installed, which further minimizes noise.
